A Distinct Noise is an upcycling and ready-to-wear company created by Thibault D. The brand is driven by a strong commitment to D.I.Y, sustainability, uniqueness and transparence. With a passion for "artisanal" work, I focus on crafting exclusive clothes in very limited quantities to avoid surplus production.
Each garment is patterned, prototyped, sewed and upcycled by myself in my studio. I find it very important to keep an eye on my creative process from start to finish and I see clothes as canvases constantly evolving. I focus on unleashing true creativity in every project I begin. Disorder and Chaos nourish my creativity and give me full power to create something unique and personal. I seek inspiration in subcultures, cinema, history and my own roots. Upcycling allows me to deconstruct, reconstruct, and customize garments by mixing various elements as a symbol of constant search of oneself.
In addition to a ready-to-wear line, I offer a commission service which allows you to choose a design from my archives and newer works and together we can create a piece that fits you in every aspect. This also includes smaller works like repairs, reworks, screenprints and more.
A Distinct Noise truly believes in the importance of collaborating with other creatives who share its values. With this project I aspire to grow a strong community where anyone can take place and participate regardless of their ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
